Coe College will host two special exhibitions in the Sinclair Galleries as part of an upcoming art show. "Index of Influence: Archiving Pablo Neruda’s Poetry and Politics" is a collaboration between Assistant Professor of Art History Ranelle Knight-Lueth and Assistant Professor of English Audrey Golden, whose award-winning Pablo Neruda collection will be displayed in the Marvin Cone Gallery. In addition, an exhibition of drawings by the Minnesota-based artist Lou Ferreri, "The Internal Affairs of Mr. Invincible," will take place in the Vivian Eaton-Buchan Gallery.

Pablo Neruda - Nobel Lecture: Towards the Splendid City

Coe College senior Malika Wilson was recently named a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship, which is generally considered the most prestigious academic award available to American college graduates. The Rhodes is the oldest and best known award for international study. Wilson was one of 230 applicants from 95 different colleges and universities across the country who reached the final stage of competition.

Grammy nominee and drummer Matt Wilson will perform at the Coe College 2017 Grand Finale Concert on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 7 p.m. in Sinclair Auditorium. Iowa's largest jazz festival will feature more than 90 middle school and high school jazz bands from across the Midwest. Award winners will be recognized during the Grand Finale Concert intermission.
